Henry Nana Boakye, the National Organiser of the opposition NPP, has filed a lawsuit against the termination of public sector appointments made before and after December 7, 2025.
He argues that the directive, issued by the Chief of Staff on February 10, is unconstitutional and exceeds her authority.
Citing Article 191(b) of the 1992 Constitution, Boakye insists that public servants cannot be dismissed without just cause.
He is asking the Supreme Court to nullify the directive, prevent its enforcement, and affirm the President’s obligation to protect public sector employees' rights.
Additionally, he seeks legal costs.
The Attorney General, named as the defendant, has 14 days to respond to the suit.
