The Minority Caucus in Parliament has criticized the government's delays in releasing funds for Ghanaian students on scholarships abroad.
Students in Morocco, under the Morocco Scholarship Programme, protested at the Ghana Embassy in Rabat on May 24 due to delayed stipends causing hardship and academic challenges.
Deputy Ranking Member on the Education Committee, Dr. Clement Apaak, urged the government to address the issue to prevent further embarrassment from student protests abroad.
He highlighted past incidents involving students in the UK and Europe and promised that a new NDC government under John Dramani Mahama would resolve such delays.
