Minority Leader Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has reassured Ghanaians of financial stability despite the outgoing government’s failure to present a mini-budget for Q1 2025.
He criticized the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration for the lapse, warning they’ll be held accountable for unmet commitments from January 1-7, 2025.
Dr. Forson expressed confidence in Vice President-elect Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, who, after her swearing-in on January 7, can present interim expenditure plans to Parliament for swift approval.
While disappointed, he urged calm, assuring that the incoming government is ready to manage Ghana’s finances responsibly and prevent disruptions to essential services.
