Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, MP for Assin South, believes the NPP could have retained the Assin Central parliamentary seat if Kennedy Agyapong had contested.
Speaking on Channel One TV, he highlighted Agyapong’s strong appeal and electoral influence.
“He has a unique way of winning, even when the numbers declined in past elections. Kennedy is Kennedy—he knows how to rally support,” Fordjour stated.
Agyapong opted out of the parliamentary race to contest the NPP’s 2024 presidential primaries.
Fordjour also acknowledged the NDC’s victory in both Assin Central and Assin North, stressing the need for the NPP to strategize in reclaiming the lost seats.
