The CEO of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Edudzi Tameklo, has backed the Office of the Special Prosecutor’s (OSP) handling of corruption investigations involving former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
Speaking on TV3 on March 17, he argued that the OSP's actions remain fair and within legal boundaries.
The OSP has given Ofori-Atta until June 2, 2025, to appear for questioning over five high-profile corruption cases or risk being declared wanted again.
Meanwhile, Ofori-Atta, who previously contested his designation as a fugitive, has initiated legal action against the OSP. Critics draw comparisons to past administrations, questioning fairness in Ghana’s legal landscape.
The case continues to stir political and public debate over accountability and due process.
