Omane Boamah faces vetting today as Appointments Committee screens five nominees

The Appointments Committee of Parliament will today, January 28, 2025, vet five key ministerial nominees selected by President John Dramani Mahama.

The session begins at 9:00 am with Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, Minister-designate for Defence.

Following him at 11:00 am is Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, MP, nominated as Minister of State in Charge of Special Initiatives.

At 1:00 pm, Adjei Kenneth Gilbert, the Minister-designate for Works, Housing, and Water Resources, will appear before the committee.

Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, MP, is scheduled for 3:00 pm as the Greater Accra Regional Minister-designate, with Charity Gardiner, Minister-designate for the Ahafo Region, concluding the vetting at 5:00 pm.
