Oquaye report shows over 2m in NPP strongholds didn’t vote – Osei-Owusu

Joseph Osei-Owusu, a former MP for Bekwai, shared important news.

He revealed that the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) post-election report showed something alarming. Over two million people in NPP strongholds did not vote in the last election.

Osei-Owusu spoke on Citi FM's Eyewitness News on April 29. He said, “The report shows that a little over two million people around our stronghold did not go out to vote.” He added that this situation tells a story.

He explained that the report highlighted mistakes made by the party. It pointed out things they overlooked and actions they should have avoided.

Osei-Owusu discussed the significance of the NPP’s ongoing “Thank You” tour. He stressed that it is not just a routine gesture for primary winners. Instead, it is an essential chance to reconnect with disenchanted party members.

He stated, “It is appropriate that we go round to thank them.” The tour aims to restore confidence among party supporters.
