Around 200 flood victims at the Aveyime Camp received aid from Dr. Prince Nelson Mortoti. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Piwak Natural Health. The event was themed “Rebuilding Together, Restoring Hope.”
Dignitaries attended, including Torgbega Kadzi Zogah II and local leaders. Dr. Mortoti highlighted the need for unity during disasters. He recalled the Akosombo Dam spillage in October 2023, which affected many communities.
The disaster caused loss of homes, businesses, and livelihoods. Many families were left displaced and vulnerable. Under Dr. Mortoti’s leadership, Piwak Natural Health has supported these communities.
In October 2023, they donated over GH¢40,000 in relief items. On April 24, 2025, they provided GH¢1,000 to 200 individuals affected by the floods. This included 60 beneficiaries from South Tongu and Central Tongu each, and 80 from North Tongu.
Dr. Mortoti explained that this financial support empowers people to make choices. They can use it for building materials or school fees among other needs. He emphasized that this donation is a shared responsibility among leaders and citizens.
He urged government bodies and NGOs to collaborate in supporting affected communities. There is still much work to be done for recovery efforts. He also called for psychological support for victims and preventive measures against future disasters.
To beneficiaries, he advised them to use the funds wisely as a step toward restoration. He encouraged productivity and sharing joy with others in their community.
Dr. Mortoti expressed gratitude to media representatives and local leaders for their support. His speech was a call to action emphasizing collective responsibility during crises.
Piwak Natural Health’s donation shows their commitment to helping affected communities rebuild hope and resilience together.
