The Minority in Parliament has clarified that $339 million, not $660 million, was approved for the Accra-Tema Motorway expansion project.
Minority spokesperson on infrastructure, Governs Agbodza, emphasized that any additional spending beyond the approved amount requires Parliament's approval.
He criticized the government for the lack of transparency in the project, comparing it to other stalled initiatives like Agenda 111.
Agbodza also questioned the funding source, claiming it relies on the depleted Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF) and accused the government of using the project for election propaganda.
