Paul Yandoh, the Ashanti Regional Communications Director of the NPP, criticized Attorney General Godfred Yeboah Dame. He condemned the AG for not responding to bribery allegations made by musician A Plus.
Yandoh questioned the AG's silence on such serious claims. He said, “It’s your duty to go to court, not church or hospital.” He added that if the AG is uninterested in court, where does he want to go?
“Your office is for prosecution, not for muddy waters,” Yandoh remarked on Wontumi Radio. His comments reflect growing demands for accountability after A Plus's accusations.
A Plus alleged that the Attorney General tried to bribe members of a parliamentary vetting committee. Some political figures denied these claims, but the AG has not responded directly.
The situation escalated into a public dispute between A Plus and former Deputy Attorney General Dominic Ayine. Dr. Ayine called A Plus’s claims baseless and irresponsible. He argued that serious accusations should be backed by evidence.
In response, A Plus questioned Dr. Ayine’s credibility and accused him of protecting political figures from scrutiny.
