Politicians must accept election 2024 results – Goodluck Jonathan

Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has urged candidates in Ghana’s December 7 elections to accept the results for the sake of peace and democracy.

As head of the West African Elders Forum and ECOWAS mission to Ghana, Jonathan is leading efforts to ensure a peaceful and credible electoral process.

The forum, comprising former West African presidents, focuses on conflict resolution during elections.

Addressing Ghana’s National Election Security Taskforce, Jonathan emphasized the need for peaceful, transparent, and credible elections to uphold Ghana’s reputation as a regional democratic leader.

He appealed to politicians to act responsibly, noting that in any election, only one person wins, and candidates should be prepared to accept either outcome.

His remarks align with broader efforts to maintain stability in the region.
