Rev. John Ntim Fodjour is the former Deputy Minister for Education. He is also the current Member of Parliament for Assin South. Recently, he shared why he prefers the title "Reverend" over "Honorable."
“Most people like to be called honorable,” he said. “But for me, it’s always been ‘Reverend.’ I even prefer ‘Fodjour.’ It’s simple and easy to say.”
Rev. Fodjour has been an ordained minister for over 12 years. He finds great fulfillment in his ministry work. “The reverend title has been my calling,” he stated. “Working in the vineyard of the Lord is a great honor.”
He believes in living out his title through his actions, not just using it.
Despite being active in politics, Rev. Fodjour preaches almost every Sunday. He serves as a resident pastor at Victory Bible Church, Iselome branch.
“It’s just by the grace of God,” he explained about balancing both roles. “Politics and ministry are time-consuming.” He added that combining them isn’t easy but he has strong support from others.
His associate pastors, like Rev. Romes and Rev. Reeves, help him when he's away. His wife, Lady Pastor Tracy, also supports him in his duties.
