The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Electoral Commission (EC), Francis Osei Nsiah, has urged Ghanaians to prepare for the December 7 general elections, emphasizing a smooth and inclusive process.
Speaking on Oyerepa TV, he encouraged eligible voters to locate their voter ID cards in advance, highlighting its importance for quick verification at polling stations.
“The voter ID card ensures a faster and more efficient process,” he stated.
Mr. Nsiah reassured voters that losing an ID card would not prevent them from voting, as officials could verify registered details at polling stations.
With the EC targeting an 80% voter turnout, he expressed optimism about achieving this goal, citing the enthusiasm of the electorate.
