President John Dramani Mahama will visit the Greater Accra Region today. This is part of his nationwide "Thank You" tour. The tour aims to thank the chiefs and people for their support. It also celebrates the NDC's victory in the December 7, 2024 elections.
A special durbar will take place at Old Ghanata Astro Turf in Dodowa. The event starts at 2:00 p.m. Traditional leaders, party members, youth groups, and the public are expected to attend.
This durbar shows gratitude and allows President Mahama to reaffirm his commitment to Greater Accra. He will discuss key development areas from the NDC’s #ResettingGhana manifesto. These include infrastructure, youth empowerment, healthcare, and job creation.
Local organizers are preparing for a large crowd at the venue. They have arranged sound systems, security, seating areas, and cultural performances. Chiefs and traditional rulers will be seated according to custom.
Attendees can engage directly with President Mahama during this event. They will hear how his administration plans to address regional challenges. This gathering is also a celebration of solidarity between Greater Accra residents and NDC leadership.
Today's durbar marks the start of President Mahama’s Greater Accra tour. It symbolizes a renewed partnership between the NDC and the people of Greater Accra. Together, they aim to build a better Ghana for all.
