NPP communicator Ellen Ama Daaku has criticized President John Mahama, questioning his ability to reset Ghana’s economy after he described it as “criminally mismanaged.”
Speaking on *The Forum* on February 22, she argued that Mahama left behind a struggling economy in 2016, unlike the Akufo-Addo administration, which navigated global crises like COVID-19.
She claimed that while Akufo-Addo stabilized key sectors, including energy, power outages (dumsor) have returned under Mahama’s second term.
Daaku urged the president to focus on economic recovery instead of political vendettas, referencing the recent raid on former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta’s home.
“Ghanaians voted for you to reset the economy, not people’s houses… You are supposed to make sure kenkey is sold at GHC1,” she stated.
