President John Mahama has officially sworn in Commissioner of Police (COP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the new Inspector-General of Police (IGP), succeeding Dr. George Akuffo Dampare.

The ceremony, held at Jubilee House on March 14, was attended by senior government officials and security chiefs.

COP Yohuno, formerly the Deputy IGP in charge of Operations, brings over 40 years of experience in law enforcement, crime prevention, and public safety.

His career has seen him rise through various leadership roles, including Accra Regional Commander and Director-General of Administration.

As IGP, Yohuno is tasked with strengthening police professionalism, restoring public trust, and enforcing reforms to enhance efficiency.

His appointment marks a new chapter for the Ghana Police Service.
