Pro-Kennedy Agyapong supporters urge restraint after Abronye's "disparaging" remarks

Supporters of Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a potential candidate for the NPP in 2028, are calling for calm. This follows comments made by Mr. Kwame Baffoe Abronye, the Bono Regional Chairman of the party.

In a press statement on May 2, 2025, the group expressed disappointment over Mr. Abronye's remarks. They described his comments as "regrettable and disappointing." The supporters believe such attacks weaken party unity.

They emphasized the importance of responsible speech among party members. "We urge all Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong supporters to exercise restraint," the statement said. They stressed their commitment to peace, discipline, and unity within the party.

The supporters reminded everyone that their main opponent is the National Democratic Congress (NDC). "The NPP must not waste energy fighting amongst itself," they stated.

To capture power in 2028 and bring progress to Ghanaians, they need to focus on the NDC instead of internal conflicts. The group also expressed forgiveness towards Mr. Abronye: "We've forgiven Mr. Abronye."

However, they highlighted that party members should be mindful of their words and actions. This is crucial for maintaining unity and discipline within the party. The statement also noted Kennedy Agyapong's consistent loyalty and commitment to party unity.
