Prof. Ransford Gyampo appointed Acting CEO of Ghana Shippers Authority

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Prof. Ransford Edward Van Gyampo as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA).

Prof. Gyampo, a seasoned academic from the University of Ghana’s Political Science Department, replaces Kwesi Baffour Sarpong, who was appointed under the Akufo-Addo administration in December 2023.

His appointment was confirmed in a letter signed by Dr. Calistus Mahama, Executive Secretary to the President.

Sources indicate that Mr. Sarpong has been directed to hand over responsibilities without delay.


His expertise in governance is expected to guide the GSA in its operations.
