The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has rejected the Electoral Commission’s re-collated parliamentary results for constituencies including Techiman South, Tema Central, and Okaikwei Central.
Dr. Rashid Tanko Computer, NDC’s Deputy Director of Elections, criticized the EC for allegedly ignoring a Supreme Court stay of execution order, calling the process "illegal" and accusing the EC of colluding with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to manipulate outcomes.
Dr. Tanko assured supporters that the NDC would overturn the results, urging calm amidst tensions.
In response, Moses Abor, NPP’s regional youth organizer, praised the EC’s actions, emphasizing that the party is ready to face the NDC in court to ensure justice prevails.
The controversy highlights rising tensions as Ghana’s election disputes unfold.
