Kwamena Duncan has strongly condemned the acts of vandalism and property destruction by some supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following John Dramani Mahama’s electoral victory.
Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo show, Duncan criticized the leadership of the NDC, including President-elect John Dramani Mahama, for failing to curb the violent behavior of their supporters.
He described the actions, which included burning down an Electoral Commission office, looting warehouses, destroying Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s billboards, and attempting to seize the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, as unacceptable and deeply disappointing.
He questioned the rationale behind the violence, saying, “This is supposed to be a civil duty. Is this how we reset Ghana?” Duncan called for unity and a reevaluation of the country’s democratic principles to prevent such unrest.
