Atik Mohammed, former General Secretary of the People’s National Convention (PNC), has criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) leadership.
He believes that keeping current leaders before the 2028 elections will lead to failure.
His comments follow the party's struggle to pay its workers just four months after leaving office.
Atik Mohammed feels many NPP leaders lack charisma, drive, and sincerity.
He is particularly concerned about their absence during the run-up to the 2024 election.
In a Facebook post, he noted that NPP executives claim they cannot pay fewer than 50 staff members.
They may need to seek help from potential Flagbearer candidates to stay afloat.
Atik stated that something is wrong when these leaders were missing during key election efforts.
Many who should represent their party lack essential qualities for leadership.
He pointed out that the Chief Scribe has not engaged in meaningful debates with counterparts from other parties.
Repeating these leaders in future contests could lead to more failures in 2024.
Atik concluded by saying, "We listen, we watch and we judge."
