Said Sinare caught in a victory that has forgoten him- NPP's Rashid Salifu mocks

A member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Ashanti, Mr. Rashid Salifu, has criticized former Ghana Ambassador H.E. Alhaji Said Sinare. He accused Sinare of betraying his integrity and the Zongo communities for political favors that never came.

Rashid's comments followed Sinare's recent criticism of former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. Sinare urged Bawumia to stop discussing the economy during the Mahama administration. Rashid believes Sinare’s attempts to discredit Bawumia show desperation from a man abandoned by his party.

“Alhaji Sinare should bury his head in shame,” Rashid said on a local radio station. He claimed that Sinare attacked Bawumia, his fellow Muslim brother, to gain favor with John Mahama and the NDC. In return, he received humiliation and political irrelevance.

Rashid labeled Sinare a “disgraced political puppet.” He accused him of inciting Zongo communities against Bawumia before the 2024 elections. However, when it was time for appointments, he was sidelined.

“You danced, screamed, and insulted on their behalf,” Rashid stated. “But when it came to sharing appointments, they dumped you like yesterday’s news.” He emphasized that Sinare was used and discarded like worn-out campaign material.

Rashid challenged Alhaji Sinare to recognize the damage he caused to his reputation. He claimed that Sinare traded his faith and loyalty for empty promises. “You are not a hero; you’re a political warning sign,” Rashid asserted.

In closing, Rashid offered a lesson: “It is better to stand with honor in defeat than to stoop for victory that forgets you.” He warned others against selling their souls for crumbs in the Zongo communities.
