Sam George exposes systemic corruption at Axle Load Station: The true story behind a manager’s dismissal

Ningo-Prampram MP Sam George has brought to light a shocking corruption scandal at the Axle Load Station in Accra.

A female manager, initially lauded for significantly boosting revenue, was fired after an audit revealed severe financial irregularities.

The manager took over in March, doubling monthly revenue to GHS 1.5 million, with subsequent increases to GHS 3 million in April and GHS 2.1 million in May.

However, an audit uncovered GHS 4.3 million in unreported revenue between April and June, prompting her dismissal.

Further investigations revealed entrenched corruption at the station, implicating a network of officials profiting from revenue manipulation.

Sam George also noted how these officials often exploit political transitions to regain power, perpetuating systemic corruption.
