Sam George orders NCA to submit frequency authorisations for audit

Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has instructed the National Communications Authority (NCA) to provide a detailed list of all frequency authorisations issued or renewed in the past 60 days.

The directive, outlined in a memo on February 12, aligns with the government's Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) initiative aimed at reclaiming state resources acquired through questionable means.

This move marks the initial phase of a full audit of broadcasting frequencies to ensure proper management and compliance with legal procedures.

The government is set to review these authorisations to verify their adherence to statutory guidelines, with further updates expected in due course.
