The Member of Parliament for Mpraeso, Davis Ansah Opoku, has accused the Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, of exceeding his authority by terminating nearly 100 employees at Ghana Post.
Speaking on Citi FM, Opoku criticized the decision, questioning the government’s “resetting theme” and its impact on workers who were legitimately employed.
“These are not political appointments; these individuals went through proper HR procedures. So what precedent are we setting?” he asked.
Sam George has defended the dismissals, citing recruitment irregularities as part of a broader restructuring effort. However, Opoku insists the move is unfair and threatens job security within state agencies.
