The Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Sam George, has dismissed five regional managers at the National Communications Authority (NCA) as part of a restructuring effort at the regulatory body.
The affected officials, overseeing operations in the Eastern, Western, Volta, Northern, and Upper East regions, were reportedly relieved of their duties earlier this week.
A letter signed by the Ministry’s Chief Director, Alexander Yaw Arphul, confirmed the terminations, directing the managers to hand over to the Acting Director-General.
Sources suggest the dismissed officials were appointed between 2017 and 2019 under the previous administration.
While no official reason has been given for their removal, the decision is seen as part of broader changes within the authority.
