Sammi Awuku resigns as Director General of the National Lottery Authority

Samuel Awuku has resigned as the Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) effective January 13, 2025.

In his resignation letter, Awuku cited his election as the Member of Parliament for the Akwapim North constituency and his subsequent swearing-in.

He expressed his desire to focus on his new role as a legislator. Awuku was appointed Director General of the NLA by the previous Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo administration in August 2021, with his appointment confirmed by the Public Services Commission in July 2022.
