Former Deputy Communications Director, Sammi Awuku, has criticized President John Mahama’s administration over its approach to job creation and the revocation of public sector appointments.
Awuku questioned the logic behind the government's claim of resetting the economy while simultaneously terminating employment. “A struggling economy managed to employ thousands and sustain development. How then do you create jobs by causing unemployment?” he argued.
He also challenged the administration to provide an audit report justifying the dismissals. “If these appointments were improper, where is the audit? Were the findings made public?”
Awuku insists the move was politically motivated rather than procedural. “A true reset should improve governance, not return to old patterns Mahama once condemned,” he stated.
