Akuapem North MP Sammi Awuku has called on President John Mahama to reverse the termination of public sector appointments made after December 7, 2024.
In a social media post, Awuku warned that the move sets a dangerous precedent, arguing that those affected are not second-class citizens and should not be denied their economic rights.
He referenced a similar situation in 2017, where the NPP refused to revoke appointments made in the final days of Mahama’s previous tenure, emphasizing the need for continuity.
Awuku urged the government to prioritize competence over political affiliation, stating that modern governance should not be about punishing perceived opponents but ensuring job security for all Ghanaians.
