Sammy Gyamfi's case has put Mahama to the test, he must show leadership - NPP

The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, has challenged President John Mahama. He wants the President to uphold the values he promoted last week. This was during the launch of his administration’s code of conduct related to the Sammy Gyamfi dollar-sharing incident.

At a news conference on Tuesday, May 13, Mr. Boakye spoke about recent controversies. These involved Sammy Gyamfi, acting CEO of Goldbod, and Attorney-General Dr. Dominic Ayine.

Mr. Boakye criticized the Attorney General for his response to corruption allegations. Instead of addressing these claims, he threatened to retaliate against a Member of Parliament.

“The President is being tested on his commitment to values,” Boakye stated. He emphasized that this test comes after Mahama launched the code of conduct.

“The world is watching how President Mahama will respond,” he added. He called for immediate action regarding Mr. Gyamfi and the Attorney-General's behavior.

Boakye urged President Mahama not to reward irresponsible actions. “We want to see action from him,” he said. He called for swift and decisive leadership from the President in this matter.
