A 27-year-old Satellite Installer has been remanded in police custody. The Asante Akropong Circuit Court is handling the case. Emmanuel Bonsu is accused of defiling three girls in Atwima Agogo. He pleaded not guilty and will return to court on June 17.
Police Chief Inspector Evans Ayimbisah presented the case to the court. The incidents occurred in Atwima Agogo. On November 29, 2024, a 14-year-old girl was washing clothes outside her home. Her mother had gone to town at that time.
Bonsu lured her into an uncompleted building while passing by. He threatened her with a screwdriver and forced her to touch him. He then sexually assaulted her and fled, leaving her bleeding.
On February 2, around 3 PM, he targeted a second victim. This girl was a 15-year-old senior high school student. After visiting a friend, she met Bonsu who dragged her into another uncompleted building. He threatened her with a knife and sexually assaulted her before letting her go.
The third victim was an 11-year-old junior high school pupil. She was running an errand when she encountered Bonsu. He sexually abused her during this encounter.
Chief Inspector Ayimbisah explained that the victims' mothers reported these cases to the Abuakwa police. Bonsu was arrested on May 16 at Atwima Agogo after investigations began. An identification parade confirmed him as the perpetrator of these crimes.
In his caution statement, Bonsu denied all charges against him. However, after further investigation, he was formally charged and brought to court.
