President John Dramani Mahama has called on newly sworn-in ministers to embrace humility, candour, and dedication in their service to Ghanaians.

Speaking during the swearing-in of six ministerial appointees on January 22, the President emphasized that the authority of public officials is derived from the citizens, urging the appointees to prioritize their aspirations.

The new ministers include Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson (Finance), Dr. Dominic Ayine (Attorney General), John Jinapor (Energy and Green Transition), Haruna Iddrisu (Education), Eric Opoku (Food and Agriculture), and Governs Kwame Agbodza (Roads and Highways).

Mahama cautioned against disrespect and complacency, stating that Ghanaians demand accountability and will not tolerate disregard for their concerns.

He reminded the ministers to stay grounded, adding, “We must exhibit tolerance for their views and work tirelessly to meet their expectations.”
