Solomon Owusu hints at petitioning for the removal of Speaker Bagbin

Solomon Owusu, a member of the Movement for Change Communications Team, has plans to petition Parliament. He wants to remove the Speaker of Parliament.

Owusu expressed his concerns on TV3's New Day. He noted that weeks have passed since the Speaker set up a committee. This committee was meant to investigate issues during President John Dramani Mahama's appointee vetting. However, no progress has been made.

He questioned the effectiveness of the committee established by the Speaker. "What has come out of that?" he asked.

Owusu emphasized that if such issues persist, it hinders national development. He believes laws should be enforced fairly in these situations.

He also stated that the Chief Justice should face the committee. He urged fairness from the panel and hopes they won't unfairly blame her.
