Outgoing Asante Akim North MP, Kwame Andy Appiah Kubi, has blamed arrogance among some appointees of President Akufo-Addo for the NPP’s loss in the 2024 elections.
Speaking on TV3’s Key Points on Saturday, December 14, he singled out former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, stating, “He grew too pompous, more powerful than the President and Vice President.”
Appiah Kubi also criticized other ministers for their arrogance.
Meanwhile, University of Ghana's Professor Ransford Gyampo called for a complete overhaul of the NPP’s leadership. He accused the current executives of being controlled by Akufo-Addo, warning of the party’s potential disintegration.
Gyampo urged party stakeholders to restore its traditional values and ensure a strong opposition to hold the government accountable.
