Sophia Akuffo will offer honest advice to Mahama – Martin Kpebu

Former Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo will offer President John Mahama sound and independent advice as a member of the Council of State, according to private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu.

Addressing concerns about her neutrality, Kpebu emphasized that she would not be subservient to the president but would provide objective counsel.

Speaking on TV3’s *Key Points*, he stated, “Sophia Akuffo will give JM good advice. She made it clear she is not there on the Judiciary’s ticket.”

Akuffo reaffirmed her stance, stating she was appointed based on her experience and not as a Judiciary representative.

She assured Ghanaians that she would provide honest and unbiased advice, stressing, *“An adviser does not parrot but speaks in the best interest of governance.”*
