Special Prosecutor behind embarrassing raids on Ken Ofori-Atta’s residence - Reports

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), led by Kissi Agyebeng, has been revealed as the force behind the controversial raid on former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta’s home, the Herald reports.

Despite prior notice from his lawyers about his medical trip to the U.S., heavily armed officers stormed his Cantonments residence, forcefully entering and searching his bedroom.

No documents or valuables were seized, raising speculation that investigators suspected he was in hiding.

The government has distanced itself from the operation, with Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine denying any involvement.

Family sources believe the raid may be fueled by a personal vendetta, linked to past tensions over procurement issues and leaked budget documents.

The incident has sparked public debate over the OSP’s tactics.
