The Techiman High Court has dismissed a parliamentary petition filed by Christopher Beyere Baasongti, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Techiman South, against New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah.

Baasongti challenged the 2024 election results announced by the Electoral Commission (EC), but Adjei Mensah Korsah, through his lawyer Gary Nimako Marfo, sought to have the case dismissed.

The MP argued that Baasongti failed to provide security for costs within 21 days of the election results being gazetted, as required by law.

On February 17, 2025, the court ruled in favor of the NPP MP, declaring Baasongti’s petition legally invalid.

This verdict confirms Adjei Mensah Korsah’s status as the duly elected MP for Techiman South.
