Thank You Tour: ‘There’s no disunity in NPP’ – Eric Twum

Eric Twum, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) communication team, has denied claims of disunity within the party. He stated that the Thank You Tour led by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is not causing division.

His comments respond to concerns from party member Boakye Kyerematen Agyarko. On April 28, Agyarko warned that the tour was straying from its goal. He said it was meant to boost grassroots support but was instead creating tensions and blame games.

Agyarko found this situation troubling. He urged party leaders to refocus the tour on unity and reconciliation.

On Channel One TV’s Breakfast Daily on April 29, Eric Twum rejected these claims. He suggested that those alleging disunity might be contributing to it.

"There is no disunity," he said. "Those who want to see disunity may be orchestrating it."

Twum added, "I don’t see disunity and won’t worsen matters."

He criticized some members for calling for amnesty for certain individuals. Many of these people had previously supported suspending others in the party.

"If they suddenly have found their voices because of Bawumia's tour, there is nothing wrong happening," he concluded.
