Former Chief of Staff Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare visited the Assurance of Hope for the Needy orphanage in Teshie, Accra. She brought smiles and hope to the children on Easter Monday. This visit was organized by her charitable organization, The Frema Foundation. It is part of the Foundation’s mission to support underprivileged children.
This was Hon. Osei-Opare’s fourth visit to the orphanage. She has grown fond of this place and committed to supporting it long-term. During her visit, the Frema Foundation donated various items for the children and caregivers. These included foodstuffs, toiletries, school bags, clothing, wax prints for caregivers, and Bibles. The management and staff expressed immense gratitude for these donations.
Osei-Opare has pledged to be a life patron of the home. She reiterated her dedication to the children's well-being and promised continued support from her Foundation. She also praised the caregivers for their hard work in nurturing the children.
In addition to donations, the children enjoyed a hearty feast and fun activities. They participated in face painting, balloon twisting, games, singing, and dancing. The atmosphere was filled with laughter and excitement, embodying the spirit of Easter.
Speaking to the children on April 21, Osei-Opare encouraged them to value education. She emphasized that knowledge can transform their lives. She advised them to respect their caregivers and teachers while assuring them that their dreams are valid.
The visit concluded with heartfelt prayers, singing, dancing, and expressions of appreciation from everyone involved. It was a memorable Easter celebration for all at the orphanage.
