Vice President Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has held extensive discussions with the Diaspora African Forum, comprising female Ambassadors in Ghana, on key national issues.
The diplomats pledged their commitment to supporting her office and collaborating on challenges in food security, education, labor, and agriculture.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang acknowledged the deep cultural and economic ties between Africa and its diaspora, emphasizing the need for self-sustaining initiatives and women’s empowerment.
She highlighted priorities such as improving rural market infrastructure, expanding healthcare beyond reproductive health, enhancing education quality, supporting small businesses, and strengthening irrigation in northern Ghana.
She stressed the need for research-driven policies tailored to Africa’s identity and called for strategic partnerships to drive tangible progress and sustainable development.
