Volta Regional Minister James Gunu has reaffirmed President John Mahama’s commitment to prioritizing road infrastructure in the Volta Region.
Speaking on Channel One TV, Gunu criticized the previous NPP administration for excluding the region from the national emergency road budget.
He cited the deplorable state of the Ho-Tokpo-Aflao road, a crucial route that was initially listed under emergency projects but saw no work under NPP.
Gunu emphasized that Mahama sees such roads as key economic corridors essential for trade and regional development.
Beyond roads, he pledged to promote peace, strengthen district assemblies, and drive sustainable growth in the region, aligning with Mahama’s broader vision for national progress.
