Walewale MP Abdul Kabiru Tiah Mahama has praised the National Economic Dialogue (NED) for encouraging participatory governance but criticized its lack of a structured approach.
Speaking on JoyNews, he acknowledged that seeking stakeholder input was a positive step but argued that the government should have provided a clearer framework rather than leaving discussions open-ended.
Mahama stressed that leadership requires decisive interventions, not just broad consultations. He suggested that the dialogue should have been more focused, with the government outlining specific areas for intervention and guiding stakeholders toward actionable solutions.
According to him, a more structured approach would have made the discussions more effective in addressing Ghana’s economic challenges.
