We accept the sentiments of the Ghanaian people; we are sorry — Assafuah

Vincent Ekow Assafuah, MP for Old Tafo, apologized to Ghanaians on behalf of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) after their defeat in the 2024 elections to the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The significant loss in votes and parliamentary seats reflects public dissatisfaction with the NPP's leadership during Nana Akufo-Addo’s eight-year tenure.

Assafuah acknowledged these sentiments in a social media post, stating, "We accept the sentiments of the Ghanaian people. We are sorry."

He assured that the party would learn from their mistakes in governing the country.
