“We are going to reset Accra” – new AMA Mayor vows bold transformation

The newly confirmed Mayor of Accra, Mr. Michael Kpakpo Allotey, has big plans. He aims to transform the capital city. He wants to align Accra’s development with President John Dramani Mahama’s vision to “Reset Ghana.”

Mr. Allotey spoke during his confirmation ceremony on Tuesday. He received unanimous approval from the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) members. They voted 100 percent in favor of him, marking a fresh start for the capital.

“We are going to reset Accra from now on,” he declared. His statement drew loud applause from Assembly Members and invited guests.

The Mayor stressed that this reset will focus on inclusive growth and accountability. He emphasized transformational leadership, echoing President Mahama’s call for renewal across the nation.

“Accra will not be left behind,” Mr. Allotey stated firmly. As the seat of government, he believes Accra must lead by example in this national rebirth.
