We’ll Retaliate NDC’s Intimidation When We Return To Power-Chairman Buga

Alhaji Osman Masawudu, the Third National Vice Chairman of the NPP, has issued a warning. He is also known as Chairman Buga Buga. He said the NPP will retaliate against the NDC if they regain power in 2029.

Masawudu spoke during an interview with Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Original TV. He accused the NDC of using state security to target NPP officials. This follows the recent arrest of Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi.

“The NDC should not think their actions will go unanswered,” he stated. “When we return to power in 2029, we will use security agencies against corrupt NDC officials.”

His comments have sparked controversy. Critics warn against normalizing political revenge and misusing state institutions. Some within the NPP have stayed silent, while grassroots supporters back Masawudu’s strong words.

The arrest of Chairman Wontumi and other party members has increased tensions between Ghana's main political parties. The NPP claims there is a targeted witch hunt, while the NDC argues law enforcement is doing its job.
