We’ll uncap GETFund to fund ‘No-fees policy’ for level 100 students – Ablakwa

MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has outlined how a future National Democratic Congress (NDC) government would fund its proposed 'No-fees policy' for level 100 university students.

Ablakwa explained that the NDC plans to uncap the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) and end certain financial practices to free up additional funds.

He estimates that the policy would cost between GH₵250 million and GH₵300 million annually.

Ablakwa criticized the current government’s capping law for restricting funds and assured that removing these caps would enable financing for the policy.
