“We’ve forgiven you” – Nkroful chiefs accept NAPO’s apology over Nkrumah comment

The chiefs and people of Nkroful have forgiven Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the NPP's running mate, for his controversial comments comparing President Akufo-Addo's achievements to those of Ghana’s first president, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

Following widespread criticism, NAPO apologized publicly but was asked by Nkroful's chiefs to apologize in person.

During his tour of Nzemaland, NAPO visited Nkroful to offer a heartfelt apology, emphasizing his respect for Nkrumah and the Nzema people.

The chief of Nkroful, Nana Kwasi Kutua, accepted the apology, emphasizing the community's preference for peace and unity.
