Dr. Bossman Asare, Deputy Chairman of the Electoral Commission (EC) in charge of Corporate Services, has reaffirmed the EC's commitment to ensuring free and fair elections.
Speaking at a press briefing on September 2, he assured the public that the EC will not protect any electoral officers, permanent or temporary, who are involved in malpractice during the upcoming elections.
This assurance comes in response to concerns raised by political parties, including the National Democratic Congress (NDC), about the EC's impartiality.
Dr. Asare emphasized that the EC prioritizes Ghana's best interests and the nation's peace.
