You’re tearing the party apart – Ken Agyapong camp fires back at Abronye

Supporters of NPP presidential hopeful Ken Ohene Agyapong have criticized recent comments by Bono Regional Chairman Kwame Baffoe Abronye. They called his remarks divisive and harmful to party unity.

In a strong statement, they said, “Abronye’s remarks are regrettable and disappointing. They do not reflect the spirit of unity we need in the NPP right now.”

This press release followed Abronye's appearance on Wontumi Radio on May 2. During the show, he made comments about Ken Agyapong that many found unmeasured and inciting.

The statement continued, “We’ve forgiven him. But as a democratic party, we must choose our words carefully when addressing fellow members.”

Ken’s supporters believe internal attacks only benefit their political opponents. “Our real opponent is not within our party,” they stated.

They emphasized that to win in 2028, their focus should be on defeating the NDC—not each other.

Supporters were urged to remain calm and avoid retaliation. The group stressed their commitment to peace, discipline, and unity.

“We’re calling on all supporters to stand down,” they said. “Ken won’t respond in kind—we won’t feed the chaos.”
