Former Deputy Finance Minister Mona Quartey says the next NDC government under John Mahama will focus on laying strong foundations in 2025 to reverse the effects of eight years of alleged economic mismanagement.
Speaking on Joy FM, she outlined plans to stabilize the utility and energy sectors, introduce labour law reforms for a 24-hour economy, and attract investments to boost productivity.
Quartey emphasized that accountability will be a priority, with measures like forensic audits to recover stolen funds and prevent corruption. She assured that tangible benefits of these reforms will begin to show by the third year, setting the stage for long-term economic growth.
“The first year will focus on preparing the ground to secure a stable and prosperous future,” she noted confidently.
